So, as I'm sure a few of you know by now, I have control over the Lathal district/archology/whatever the fuck you want to call it and have had it for about a year now. As such, there have been many interesting situations and I fully expect more to develop as I seem to attract such things. I suppose that could all be summed up as saying I'm starting a blog of running this place.
So, it seems best to start with actually describing the district itself. Lathal is a place best known for its fine batarian cheese, shipyard, producing chemical weapons, and now having a somewhat higher human population in proportion to other parts of the station. At last count it had about five thousand residents, one of the less populated districts at the moment due to Cerberus and well, it is on the edge of the station. We have a decent economy here and quite a few visitors as the docks are one of the more used ones on Omega so there is always an interesting blend of people moving through. We used to have a vorcha problem but the occupation took care of that. Seems Cerberus didn't like occasional vorcha attacks on their shipments. I always found them good for staying active but I can live without them. Neighbors of this place are the Kemu, Drugat, Kenzo, and lastly, the recently destroyed Jabr district. The situation with the Jabr district is a bit odd at the moment as none of us are certain as to what will happen. We might have a bit of a conflict over who it goes to though far more likely is that the Blood Pack will just take it though that hasn't happened yet. Regardless of what happens there it should be interesting. On the Move. |

We've received a number of concerns regarding your character, and after some discussion, we've agreed you are rapidly soaring into 'Special Snowflake' territory and this power creep of your character's status, wealth, and power needs to be curbed immediately. I hate to say this, but "currently enlisted Alliance movie star supersoldier who also literally owns part of Omega" will sound absurd to almost anyone. And, as I'm sure you'll agree, will sound entirely contradictory. Because it is. You've been steadily creeping across a fine line for quite some time and we're going to have to ask you to step away before you slide any further down the slippery slope. To put this in plainer terms, please reassess your character and address the aforementioned power creep - there is nothing in your character concept that demands Palmer own a district or become a movie star (or have a movie based on her and her team). CDN has always been about exploring the 'working man' of the galaxy and this character is getting away from that. While we have made some exceptions, they have always been relative to the character concept itself. From our understanding, Palmer absolutely does not need the things she's claiming to own/achieved. Please correct it. If you have any questions or concerns, please address them with the mod team. Thanks. |
