Any timeframe yet on a PM function? One would be very appreciated.

If it hasn't been requested already, I'd like to see the "your posts" function returned, where we'll be able to more easily locate threads we've posted in, as opposed to constant scrolling. If/When any of use would like to link previous threads, this might makes things easier for us.

There's an easy workaround for that right now: using Google, punch in the following (without quote marks):

"site:cerberusdailynews.com/valiant"

followed by a space and whatever your search string is. Use your username (in quote marks) to ensure that it's at least on the page. This is as up-to-date as Google's spider is (which isn't very), but it beats nothing.

I would like the ability to punch people through the internet, and I expect you to provide such a feature immediately.

It certainly is helpful in at least narrowing things down. Thank you for showing this to me. :)

Okay Here's an update what's happening and why.

I know the PM problem is just that a problem but between RL work (I need to eat after all) and the fact that we're doing something special with the PM system, it just takes a lot of more work. I really sorry for the delay, but I think/hope you will appreciate the result, because it'll be much cooler than your run of the mill PM system.

It will be as if you have your own private forum.

It's been requested before, but it bears repeating:

• Post read/unread tracking
• "Thread contains unread posts" indicator
• "Go to first unread post" function

Please please PLEEEEASE add these if at all possible.

No, it does not bear repeating. Dippy, as I've learned, is very good at writing things down. Discussing whether or not certain features should be included, or how they should be included, is fine. Please do not simply repeat what has already been said.

I don't know whether this has been requested or not, but a function which shows at what time each post has been made rather than just the latest would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if this is feasible, but I'd like to see "custom" colors. A player would be able to define a limited number of custom color codes in his/her profile. E.g., "RTB = #ff4000" and "Sonya = #bf40ff". Once you've set these definitions, you could type [color=RTB] or [color=Sonya] in a post; once you submitted the post, the system would swap the color name for the color code.

I know that some people (myself included) who have a cast of recurring RP characters can have some difficulties in making sure that everyone's dialogue is in the right color; a system like this would make things easier.

Alternatively, getting that color palette from the old forum would be nice.

Can you please add timestamps to every post in a thread? You don't have to fuss with timezones for each player, just the GMT that appears at the top of the page will do. Right now the current system is only useful to see if you're necroing a thread or not. There's no indication how fast threads are moving which is important for things like Reaper Games or deciding how long to go in open threads before making posts.

This isn't an RSS fix, I realize, but those people wanting to focus on the main "news" articles should probably bookmark this link, as it's an index to all the articles posted by the Presslink News Aggregator mod account. In addition, the actual CDN Wiki article for Cerberus Daily News has a running index of all stories written by CDN members, as well as a link to the Mass Effect Wiki that contains all Official News that Bioware posted from 2010-2011.

Again, it's not an RSS, but considering I update those two links daily, it's pretty much that in all but name.

You know what could be swell? Being able to post a line of description for threads we create. That way in one look you know what the thread talks about when the title isn't enough. It would be mostly useful for RP threads, where the titles usually tell us nothing. It could encourage people to read other players' rps more.

I'll second this; it seems like a great idea.

I'll third FourEye's idea.

It'll help new and old users alike.

I'd say I agree with FourEyes, but saying you "fourth" something sounds stupid. (I still agree, however.)

Additionally, I'll third the time stamp. It's a good idea and is fairly useful.
