As Hamilton came to a halt, Leeta stopped and turned to look at him, thoroughly confused by his behavior. If she had any doubts about his mental capacity, they were gone now. She shook her head and reached out to touch his arm to try and bring him back to reality. "Are you o--hey!" Her eyes went wide as he whirled and crossed the distance between them and the counter at an alarming speed. She was positive that he was making up his mind to skip out on paying her back, so she chased after him with two steps for every one of his. "Hey!" She tried to get his attention. "What is wrrr--uhh," She had almost asked 'what is wrong with you' but felt that might be an insulting question. "Err, that is...I mean to say...is something bothering you?"

"Hmmm? What? Oh, no. Nothing at all. Just thinking about what you said. On the other fellow named Hamilton, that is. He sounds like a prick. What he did, I mean. But nothing's bothering me, no." He said, still all fake smiles. "Oh look we're here. Ah, what was it that you had ordered? I forgot. And I just realized there was somewhere I had to be so I really have to go. Now. Away from...away from here."

Sarah stood up and dusted herself off. She'd blow her bangs out of her face and purse her lips, glancing out across the busy crowd. Part of her omnitool flashed- Her eyes widen- And she darts out of the door, jogging down the street towards the nearest shuttle terminal. "Crap- Crap- CRAP." She cursed under her breath, swiping the tool across the terminal. Missing an appointment- Damn it to hell, why'd I get distracted with food?!

Vik watched Sarah run, looked like she was in a hurry. Well no sense in going after her. He'd see about contact her later, maybe when she wasn't so busy. For now he decided to just finish his drink and think more about his little hair brained scheme.

Leeta blinked up at Hamilton for a moment, her expression slowly turning into a scowl as she observed his fake smile. She peered up at him suspiciously and reflexively grabbed for his arm. If he were like most people she ran into on the Citadel, he was about to try and run off without paying her back for ruining her robes and wasting her meal. "Hey--! What is...your problem? First you say my acquaintance is interesting, now you say he is a prick when you know nothing of the situation-" Somewhere in the back of her mind, a voice reminded her she was dealing with a disabled person, but she was too irate to heed it. "And now you are trying to avoid paying me back for causing me this--distress? How inconsiderate could a human possibly be?" She scowled up at him, her tone laden with disapproval. The circumstances of his reaction were suspicious of course, but Leeta wasn't about to jump to conclusions.

"No! That's not, I'm not trying to avoid paying you back. I just want to replace your things and then leave because I have to go... somewhere else. And I'm sorry about insulting your...acquaintance. Exactly how well did you say you knew him?"

Leeta could only stare at Hamilton for a few long, awkward moments of silence as the pieces clicked into place on her head. She remained silent with the intent of making him feel as uncomfortable as possible. After all, he had spilled his food and ruined her meal, so it wasn't like he didn't deserve to squirm just a little. Finally she nodded, murmuring a low 'Hmmmm' of understanding. "It IS you! It figures you would run me over! Do you just hate my people because you were rejected? Is that it??" Well, now she was just messing with him.

So a Mombasan walks into a cafe...
Man am I Hungry. I could eat a horse. And so, for the first time since being on the Citadel, Alex tried eating at somewhere other then the C-Sec cafeteria. Walking past a busy women and some Quarian, he walked over to a seat and looked at the menu. I wonder if this place does good Swedish meatballs? But then he looked around again. That rushing women was clearly Burke. He remembered her from the new years day party. That Quarian... Drew up a blank actually. He looked around at a human and a quarian, seemingly having a heated conversation. The human was unfamiliar. but the Quarian was... Wearing a shit load of pink? Where do I know her from? Then the penny dropped. Once again, he had seemed to have walked into a cerberus daily news place. Alex considered his options. Leg it, find somewhere else to eat. But he only had so much time. Or stay, hope no one would recognise him or say anything that might force him into a conversation, and eat his food in peace. He sighed, and gave option 2 a go. |

Leeta chuckled at Hamilton without missing a beat, holding up a placating hand. "I am only joking," she tilted her head and gestured for one of the servers and asked for her replacement of nutripaste, since Hamilton hadn't. "It is nice--well, interesting to meet you, Hamilton, your blundering aside." She cast a glance around the restaurant, keeping mental tabs on who was paying attention to what out of habit. Her gaze locked on a familiar, stubbly face. She quirked her head to the left in in confusion before patting Hamilton's shoulder. "Excuse me one moment -- I will get back to harassing you soon enough--" She walked over to Mombasa, the one she knew as Stubble, and stopped. She held her hands together behind her, her light tone evidence of her amusement, "...Stubble?"

I waited a long time for Bordacit to respond but...well. Onward!
|

Alex waited.
No one replied to whoever was calling for stubble. So he turned around, and faced the same, short pink Quarian. "Oh. Hello." Said Alex sadly. He had been found. It took less then five minutes for him to be found. "You're that quarian aren't you? Triple Tiptoe or something." Alex thought about how to continue. He could launch into a racist tirade or just ignore her, but in this crowded resturant, with people he somewhat knew it felt... bad. So Alex decided to challenge himself. He made enough social fuckups since being on the Citadel. So, he would see how long he could stand talking to her. With any luck, she'd just go on her merry way. I mean, have a nice time, and happen to leave soon. "Do you want to sit down?" Said Alex, trying to resist Grinding his teeth into dust.

Alas, Bordacit, we hardly knew thee.

Behind her visor, Leeta blinked a few times as Alex invited her to sit. She shifted her weight to one foot, scrutinizing him for a moment before glancing briefly over her shoulder in Hamilton's general direction. "Well--" she hesitated, snapping her attention back to him. She silently questioned the invitation while trying to read his body language. Shrugging off her insecurities, she put on a smile that was audible in her voice. "You remember me by my handle? And here I thought you would just call me Bucket." She slid into the seat across from him apprehensively, hoping he wouldn't mind a little light teasing.

"What can I say. I was just on CDN as I was walking here."
Hey, you know what would be great? Arresting every quarian in here for vagency and disturbing the peace. What the fuck brain? No, I am not going to go against the value of the law like that because we dislike certain whiny people! Alex coughed. This was going to be difficult. "So... The citadel huh?" |

Leeta leaned back in her chair, studying the human's body language. She cleared her throat awkwardly before looking down at her hands. "Yes. For the last year I have been on the Citadel assisting with--well, it is all quite boring actually. But I am surprised to see you here. Taking some leave or here on business?" On the scale of things going on in the universe, her work was hardly exciting. She hoped Alex was here doing something exciting; it would be a nice change from the monotony of the things she got up to on a daily basis.

"Oh I'm here on Business. You know, apparently C-Sec need dumbass earth cops to tell them how to do their job. In that way I've basically been on vacation for the last two weeks. On the other hand..."
Alex Considered mentioning what went down with leaving the ducts, but decided against it. Mostly. "I managed to be my charming self and make loads of friends." He said, Sarcasm dripping from his voice. "I actually managed to tell a horrifying offensive story to a very pissed off gangstar, witness someone ending a crime, have to stay in a crowded, boiling hot room and..." "But at work? At best, I've pissed off a coworker and stayed on the extranet, insulting people." Alex almost sighed at how pathetic that was. Almost. "so... Ever been to that blue and green sphere beneath the Citadel?" |

Ahh sarcasm, no one seemed to have mastered it quite as well as the human race. Leeta couldn't help but chuckle at Alex's comments about his stay on the Citadel and all the friends he had made. "Well your time on the Citadel seems to be well spent thus far." She paused at his question before shaking her head. "Ahh...no I am afraid I have not. I would like to of course, but there is something...agoraphobic about being in such a broad unenclosed space." Embarrassment was evident in the tone of her voice, and she smiled sheepishly behind her visor. "It is a nonsensical feeling of course, given that I am always enclosed in the suit." She shrugged awkwardly and cleared her throat. "When do you go back to that blue and green sphere?"

Clad in an almost civilian(aside from light kinetic padding to absorb pistol rounds it seemed) looking black and red suit, Arbitrary walked on into the establishment. A quick look around and she spotted an open seat near a quarian and a human, neither of whom seemed entirely too familiar to her.
She walked over and took a seat, nodding to them. She noticed a familiar envirosuit in the establishment with Lear, but hoped that she would go unnoticed. No need to announce her arrival back into Citadel space so soon, not that she supposed most CDNers would remember her distinctive patterning. It had been months, after all. "Good day." She identified the human now. Mombasa. His face was unmistakable. Welp, guess the probability vortex would have to reassert itself as soon as she came back to populated areas of space. "Now, what looks edible.." It all did of course, but nutripaste can only look so appetizing. |

This Quarian is more Awkward at this then I am. I'm not sure whether I really aught to be proud of that.
"I hope to be back within a month or two. As much as I like the Citadel..." Alex coughed, as if stating that was a lie. "I'd much rather be in sunny Mombasa, doing real work. Won't take them long to realise I'm not really helping here." Another Quarian walked over, nodded at us, and sat down. Wait. Another one? Oh crap. "Oh. Hello Buck... Quarian. Do you two know each other?" Hold it together. Your lunch will be here soon. |

Finally, Arina had a bit of time to give Friendship-by-Food a visit. The dinner party for which the embassy had contracted the shop was still a week away. From the extranet menu her colleagues made a list of what to bring – she couldn’t eat through the buffet all by herself. She was wearing a red and cream colored dress that contrasted well with her greyish bue skin, as she entered Friendship-by-Food.
The place was busy and looked exactly as advertised; the crowd was mixed and looked decent. The only notable thing was a surprisingly high density of quarians. It had been a bit of a risk to book a caterer without knowing them personally but sometimes life in the embassies needed a little adventure. Peaceful times. She was working to keep it that way. Her eye caught an odd couple, a human, wearing sunglasses and an astonishingly pink quarian. She had seen that human’s face on CDN, one of the pictures you don’t forget easily... Giant... something. She wondered if he was on a date and if his glasses were imitating the quarian’s helmet for some sympathy. Anyway, she couldn’t just walk over and chat, since she didn’t want to ruin anything. So she browsed the buffet and purchased her take away stuff plus a small dish and a Kaffe for herself. Now what to do? She decided to at least test if any socializing was welcome. While she paid her purchase, Arina looked up the guy's name on CDN. Just as she was ready to go, another strange looking quarian passed by the table and Mombasa addressed her. Hm, now the two had company anyway. So she just strolled over, smiling and nodding as if "recognizing" Mombasa. "Oh hi, aren't you Mr. Adolrikson? I think I saw your face on CDN - quite recognizable glasses! I am Arina, known on CDN as 'stardust'." She turned and greeted the quarian companion at the human's table and the other one. "Hello, nice to meet you." She turned to Mobasa and the seated pink quarian. "Mind if I join you? I don't want to disturb though." |

Leeta cracked a grin as Alex nearly addressed the other quarian as bucket. She wasn't sure why it amused her so much - she knew it was supposed to be a slur, but it had never really bothered her. The human's growing discomfort was also particularly amusing for her. She felt a little bad for him; he had probably been in search of a quiet lunch and now he was being swarmed by people. "I am afraid I am not acquainted with her, no." She nodded politely to the other quarian as an asari strode in and introduced herself. Quietly Leeta contemplated that this was probably because Stubble's avatar was his face - he was very easily recognized. She looked to stardust, recognizing the handle. "Oh -- no, I was just interrupting his quiet lunch," she replied jokingly. She looked at the human for confirmation that he didn't mind the asari joining them.
