Alright people, Thessia needs your help!

As noted here, here, and here, the asari homeworld has found itself experiencing a new threat in the form of increased pirate raids, plundering their large supply of one the galaxy's most precious natural resources, element zero. If ME technology is the body that keeps civilization connected, then eezo is the blood. This problem must be addressed.

The TERF taskforce is en-route to correct the problem, and one of the many groups assembled to bolster Thessia's security is Templar, the controversially named support group. Templar will be deployed to the southern region of the planet, to a demolished city called Nartin, which is also the location of one the asari's many eezo refineries, along with large population of refugees, many of whom still live in temporary shelters, as much of the city was destroyed in the fall of Thessia.

A large portion of the population is uneasy about outsiders being present. The environment is cold, and inhospitable. There is a great deal rebuilding that needs to be accomplished, and medical aid to be dispersed.

And, of course, there is always the threat of pirates and smugglers attempting to take what they can of the precious element zero.

In IC time, this mission will take about three months, and will be a full time commitment for all involved. Once you're here, you're staying here until the rotation is complete, or, if you screw up badly enough, kicked off the planet. No random teleporting to other parts of the galaxy because you feel like it.

One does not need to be a fulltime member of Templar to participate, but at the very least you will most likely have to volunteer IC. Any desire to take an alternative role within this RP will require speaking to Gestran, who will be GMing for us. He has a rather beautiful campaign to run us through, I can guarantee you that much.

Now, as for what you'll be doing, that will depend on what kind of role you believe your character would fill. Doctor? You're dispensing aid at the infirmary we've set up. Helping rebuild? You'll be working with the Elkoss Combine subsidiary who is donating to reconstruction. Security? You'll be patrolling and keeping an eye out in the region.

During the RP your character will have limited supplies, some of which you will only have access in the most dire of emrgencies, which will require either Vohk or TERF command to access. Regardless of the situation, you have to remember that you are operating under a strict set of rules.

Ok Guys just to elaborate further this will be an event driven arch composed a few major scenarios that I will GM. Other than that, feel free to set up threads within the scenario given If you so wish, just clarify with me first.

This is a plot I've been brewing for a long time and I'm sure I'll have more than a few surprises for you.

Hello everyone. Just letting you know that I'm still interested in joining the group. However, my posts may be a bit slower during the weekdays due to school, clubs, and work. I will try to be reasonable with my posting schedule.

So if someone were to have created a new salarian character he wasn't quite sure what he was going to do with... Is the LETENT and Salarian Battalion thing going to have it's own thread, or is it all pretty much going to be one big thing?

I think it would be safe to say we're only going to allow one thread, and its going to focus entirely on our little corner of Thessia as those involved deal with the issues. Essentially, we're one (if admittedly busy) cog of TERF's big machine. Your guy could be part of the salarian division sent to supervise and assist on Nartin, but the rest of what's going on planet will be largely outside our influence.

what vohk said. we're not allowed to do anything on a large scale here. If you're in on this, you're with the templars.

It's all good. That's pretty much what I figured, just be part of a smaller mixed group. I like the idea I was just making sure he'd be a decent enough fit. It's either that or CSEC and this seems really interesting.

you're more than welcome, it is a mixed species group, but we're rather human heavy. Having a salarian would be great.

I will also be serving as a sort of mission control during the thread. Muck won't get face first into the action these days unless she absolutely has to. Instead I will be coordinating efforts at HQ by serving as a communication link between everyone and TERF command if things start getting pretty dicey.

I think it will be a great deal of fun, and I hope more of you join up.

Boomtrix here will be an NPC character that I (gestran) control. However special rules apply to her. She can be killed or disabled by other players (in good RP fashion of course and with reprecussions) without my permission. I will simply adjust the plot accordingly. As for casualty rules, I won't kill you unless you ask me beforehand but I might assign injuries if you perform a crazy stunt.

I think I'd be into this, barring any potential interruptions.

ok now to summarize, the players we have so far are:

Now, your duties will mostly involve patrols around in the nearby area providing aid supplies and security to the population. You will be stationed at a base near the local refinery that is being rebuildt by the Elkoss combine who you also have a responsibility to protect from raids. It is crucial to maintain the trust of the local population, many of whom will not be happy about your prescence.

You will be working together as one of the teams (with the exception of snow) with vohk as the team leader (I assume) and Muck acting as a relay to TERF command. There will be other situations but initially this is the task you should be preoccupied with.

I'll leave it up to vohk to further organize the team details and duties. If you want to, please summarize your characters skillset to make that job easier for him.

Also I need you to clarify what sort of position you imagine that you'll inhabit during the mission.
