Moderator action for 10/27/12 - Suspension policy
The mod team met to resume tabled discussion of a rule change that had been proposed prior to the site changeover (and tabled due to same). It was decided by majority to adopt this change and the suspension policy for repeat-offender users was placed in the rules thread. Users are advised to read over the new rule and bear it in mind when using the forums. |

Moderator Action for October 31, 2012: Permanent Ban from IRC Chat
User Custodian has been banned from IRC Chat for repeatedly attempting to bait moderators. Because of his precedent involving starting flame wars and being forbidden to interact with certain players to prevent future issues, the ban has been made permanent. As of writing, Custodian is still permitted to use the forums. |

The mod team met to discuss issues regarding the use of characters proclaiming themselves as members of the now-defunct Cerberus organization. Moderator Action for November 4, 2012: Public Reminder for IRC Chat Users
This is a warning to all #CDN users to at least have the decency to avoid discussing spoilers for upcoming major titles, as this will get you kicked, suspended and/or banned at the chat moderators' discretion. At the very least, unless noted by chat chat moderators, avoid discussing such spoilers on the channel until at least two weeks past the game's release. This includes any story DLC for Mass Effect 3. If you would like to discuss spoilers, please go to IRC's auxiliary CDN channel, #CDNSpoilers. |

Moderator Action for November 5, 2012: Block Clarification
Following the events described in Overlord’s post, user pl@c3hold3r sent a PM to the moderators through the old forums contesting the block. In it, he explained to our satisfaction that the account was not a sockpuppet for the Virtual Lounge/Mainframe subforums, but merely that he was a new player who was lurking before entering the forums proper. In addition, he noted that he had since created another account on the main forums (which shall remain undisclosed), so he does not require the account to be unblocked. Because of the one-account-per-user rule, pl@c3hold3r’s original account shall remain blocked, but he is to be commended for his maturity in handling the protest. We offer him our apologies for the misunderstanding. No further disciplinary action is currently required. |

Moderator Activity for November 8, 2012: News Account Codification
Due to a rash of people failing at basic reading comprehension, rules on how to submit articles to the moderator-operated Presslink News Aggregator have been thoroughly codified and inserted into the rules thread. For the next week, asking who runs the Presslink News Aggregator (even “ironically”) will be met with a day’s suspension. Please do not tempt the moderators on this. Half of us regularly visit Something Awful, after all. |

Pursuant to the information linked in this post, the mod team was polled re: removal of all material including Admiral Xen. The motion carried by a majority of four. As such, material involving Xen (including the retrospective "The Beast Problem") has been officially removed from continuity.
