How can I improve my posts and my writing?

I've been feeling drained and whenever I post, I don't feel like it's really good enough.

First off Vigilant I suggest you follow up on this


Take a break if you feel drained. Seriously. Don't even look at the site. Don't even try to think about it. Sort your stuff out and forget about pretend aliens for a week. Because if you seriously feel you need to take a break from the site then you should probably be doing so! I've done it (not even that long ago) and it worked wonders when I came back.


This goes back to the thing I constantly repeat ad-nausem whenever people post this. Have confidence in your writing. No this isn't me advocating something that implies you should be ignoring criticism or that you don't need it but constantly second-guessing yourself and thinking you "aren't good enough" is going to drag your quality of writing down because you are too obsessed with how "bad" you think you really are instead of focusing on, well, actually writing.

I know this because I used to be the same way.

I'll hold off on any writing criticism for you right now (its already nearly 4:00 AM and my brain is half fried) but I hope you look this over and consider what I've written.
