Introduction
If you must know about my past, I would spend as little time as I can on it. My father was a great but misguided man who built himself a world with his own two hands. It was the death of him. I myself almost stumbled upon that same route: I drank and partied and engaged in various pathetic activities which were of little value to the self. Still, I believe it all served some point in bringing humility into my soul.They say that a man can make himself into anything if he wills it. I have seen proof for either side of the argument, but I have also learned never to underestimate the sheer power of human will. Take for instance when I lay in the burning heap of what was my home during the destruction of Benning: my body crushed and broken, with nothing to live for. There, as I watched the Cultivators burn down everything in sight, I willed myself that I would survive. And by some miracle I did, and after an extended period of recovery I stand before you know as healthy if not more-so than the days before the war.
As for myself, I am the sum of my experiences. I was blessed with a keen mind and a willingness to understand and to see, and that is where my strength comes from. I am not a strong or athletic man, but I am one of wisdom. I know nothing but what I see before my eyes, and I make no presumption other than what inference may allow. Combine that attribute with a certain level of ambition, and it has brought me great success in my endeavors.
First and foremost I am an ambitious nab. I seek to better the world around me as it betters myself. I enjoy my work and the benefits it brings; do not mistake ambition for philanthropy. I do what I must, and the good of the public eye is always superior to the hatred. There are many others who would be happy to just wait for the next great development, the next change in the world to happen. That isn't me. I will find my own path.
