Biography

The biggest backhanded compliment anyone can give him is that 'he's pretty calm, for a krogan.' Luckily for them, he won't snap their spines for it. Unlike most krogan, Velos saves his aggression for his jobs, and is unfailingly, well, nice - if a bit informal. Even stranger is that he dislikes overkill and unnessecery cruelty. (Pointing out his machine gun will have him note that suppressive fire is not overkill.)

A relatively normal (read: brutal) lifestyle on Tuchanka inspired him to get off the planet, disgusted with petty clan wars and a drive to see something that wasn't a nuclear wasteland. Given that the Blood Pack would probably feed him to varren for being nice and not committing war crimes on a daily basis (if they didn't just shoot him for being Urdnot), he struck out on his own, starting out with a small security firm, becoming a bodyguard for corporate and outer-system governments making hidden, and sometimes far less subtle, incursions into the Terminus Systems and other lawless frontiers. After twenty years, he graduated into search and rescue, retreiving kidnap victims from slavers and pirates. Seeing what was done to their victims was enough to make him take up bounty hunting after a scant few months, bringing back pirates alive for trial and turning stations into debris headed for the nearest sun.

Two centuries later, and he's still at it. The only thing that's changed for him are the arrival of some new species that look like pinker, hairier asari, and the fact some of his clients are said hairy asari species, which sometimes requires him burning up loads of creds getting to the Citadel. At the very least, his new travel time has allowed him to net more clients in the systems between the Citadel and the Terminus. He needed the change of scenery, anyway, and a little variety never hurt anyone.
